Flotation Beneficiation

Flotation, which is referred to flotation beneficiation, is a sorting methods based on the different physical and chemical properties of the surface of mineral particles, according to the differences of mineral floatability. Flotation is widely used in fine-grained disseminated metallic minerals, nonmetallic minerals, chemicals and other mineral sorting. Another important use of flotation is to reduce ash and fine-grained pyrite in the fine coal.

Flotation Categories

Flotation can be divided into positive and anti-flotation, the method to make unwanted minerals (ie, gangue minerals) remain in the pulp and discharged as tailings is called positive flotation; otherwise known as anti-flotation. The commonly used flotation agents are collector agents, foaming agents, inhibitors, activators, pH adjusting agent, dispersant, flocculant，etc. Common flotation machine are mechanical agitation, inflatable, inflatable mechanical agitation and so on.
