Usually the mining , separated by the wet concentration processing, contain too much water. It is bring great troubles to concentrated mining further-processing( such as metallurgy) and to transportation and loading and unloading. Also, it increase the transport charge obviously. To the mining concentration process, the mining aggregates must be wipe off the water before the subsequent processing (for instance, before feeding the rough cobbing to the mining grinding machine again,before feeding the middlings to the mining grinding mills again and before feeding the rough mining to the electric separation, etc)
The main method of dehydration contain natural drainage, thicken, filter and drying. The natural drainage bases on the gravity principle, the water will separate from the mining aggregates by its own gravity and it is mainly used in dehydration of coarse aggregates; the thicken processing adopts the mining aggregates gravity principle and precipitate the mining particles from the mining pulp.The moisture is about 40%~50% after the thicken processing.And the filter use filter medium (usually it is filter cloth) to separate the mining aggregates from the mining pulp. The liquid will outflow from the meshes from the filter cloth and the mining aggregates will gathered on the filter cloth. The thicken and filter fit for fine particles well. The moisture is about 10%~20% after filter processing.
To some special mining concentration plant, the producer may need to keep the moisture at a very low lever, such as 3%~8%, now the dryer is quite necessary.
